How It Works
After taking images of the front and back of the skincare product, the application will take a look through the ingredients, cost, and volume.

The application cross-references the ingredients with an archive of research-backed data from Nature, PubMed, JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of Dermatology, and other peer-reviewed research repositories on the reported bioactivity of the ingredients, active concentration needed to achieve the desired skin health benefit, and the number of publications referencing the ingredient's effect.

The application will then compare the market cost of each bioactive ingredient with the listed price of the product and evaluate the level of markup as a ratio of the market cost of each ingredient versus the listed price of the product to determine the true value of the product.

Finally, the application conducts a final analysis and put these all together into three convenient scores - Markup, Efficacy, and Value - for you to compare your skincare products.

These values will be scored from between 1 to 100, with values between:

-
1 to 39 = Poor
-
40 to 69 = Average
-
and 70 to 100 = Good

Thanks again for stopping by! 🤓
